Burkhalter craftsmen, engineers, and superintendent prepare for a multimodal cargo transfer from flatbed railroad car to self-propelled Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailers. Burkhalter is using its J&R Engineering hydraulic gantry system equipped with power links. Burkhalter power links enable a hydraulic vertical lift and lateral move of the super-sized/heavy gas turbine from the railcar to the waiting Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailers. The Goldhofer trailers will then be lowered down onto centerlines, secured and prepped for highway transit to the job site.
